re: Mastodon CSS question.
Okay, so I found a few key background elements that I can change together to get enough of a color change that I'm unlikely to post on the wrong account again. That's the hope, anyhow!

Hello, if you want to make a post about a bad person known to public discourse, you should just spell out their actual name.
Why?
If its not a hashtag, its not searchable, so you are not protecting yourself from dogpiling.
If I don't want to see posts about Lord Voldemort, I'll have his name in my mute list. I don't want to have to make a million variations to deal with your *s or weird phrases and (implicitly) asking that i do this is too much. The more the person is inflammatory, the more your respelling is aggressively mute-dodging. (I'm not talking about accidental misspellings. People shouldn't feel like they need perfect spelling to discuss difficult subjects.)
If you are so concerned about naming somebody, put it under a descriptive CW: "the 45th president of the US", " Historical Nazis" etc, but use their actual name in the post.
anyway I put way too much effort into this, enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6_AH4taMXE

Cute girl: So. Before we proceed. How do you feel about Marx?
Me (nervous): Umm look I guess I'm a socialist but I don't really know enough about the political theory behind it
Her: ...
Me: I'm sorry
Her: ...
Her: Marks. Can I leave marks on your skin
mastoadmin notice/announcement - boosts welcome
to make things easier on admins who dislike some of the new changes in Mastodon 4.0, i'm making available a docker image based on the vanilla Mastodon image with the patches I wrote that restore 3.5's behaviour.
If you use Docker, you can replace the existing mastodon image paths with:
- docker hub: maffsie/patchstodon:latest
- docker hub: maffsie/patchstodon:v4.0.2
- my registry: commit.pup.cloud/maff/queer.party:patchstodon-latest
- my registry: commit.pup.cloud/maff/queer.party:patchstodon-v4.0.2
These docker images are built for amd64 only (i don't have another build host) and contain the following patches:
- https://commit.pup.cloud/maff/queer.party/src/branch/master/patches/4.0.0_1-no-sql-search-boosting.patch - Reverts search behaviour to no longer prioritise accounts with more followers or more recent activity
- https://commit.pup.cloud/maff/queer.party/src/branch/master/patches/4.0.0_2-keep-digest-emails.patch - Re-adds the digest emails option (it was removed in favour of emailing you every time you got a notification if you didn't have an active connection to the Streaming server)
- https://commit.pup.cloud/maff/queer.party/src/branch/master/patches/4.0.0_3_app-no-boring-elephants.patch and https://commit.pup.cloud/maff/queer.party/src/branch/master/patches/4.0.0_3_config-no-boring-elephants.patch - Re-adds all the references to toots, tooting, etc.
- https://commit.pup.cloud/maff/queer.party/src/branch/master/patches/4.0.0_4-revert-captive-links.patch - Reverts that nasty captive link thing in 4.0 which breaks middle-clicking or right-clicking and copying the link for a toot or user not on your instance
The images are generated by cloning https://commit.pup.cloud/maff/queer.party.git, cd-ing into the repo, and typing `make patchstodon`.
Images, fantasy creatures, eye contact, nudity
#drawings today, wizard duel (dwarf vs goblin with familiar and walking throne), imho looking at Wayne Reynolds art had a positive influence. And, finished up a furry pinup from earlier this month, added more of that kobold “cozy fantasy” character I’ve drawn before.
