I feel like here, I don't have 1,400 eyes watching and people trying to destroy me. I know that's not /really/ the case, but you have to take the FTL into account and boosts and how word spreads. And nasty subtooting.
I just have a few trusted people. I can decide who gets let in and who doesn't. And awoo.space federation rules mean my bullshit won't wind up on some instance full of assholes. I like this.

Mastodon was not created originally as a platform for minorities. It was created as a platform to replace identi.ca. Your average person on identi.ca is a tech bro.
I wish fewer people would worship Gargron like he made this thing for minorities when they're little more than a periphery demographic that he sees as numbers. I don't think he truly has the interests of minorities at heart, unless it threatens the user count.
So I'm gonna use this for B sides stuff and is a public face for stuff for saying what I really think.
