@Felthry As for why it's in that position, I genuinely don't know?? I'm not sure where I picked up that turn of phrase, but I'm like, fairly sure it's British English. It's possibly a Yorkshire dialect thing that I've picked up?

Oh right! Sorry, the phrase is meant to mean "the time has gone past 1am", as in its later than that time.
