can we talk about how cute those mini-dvds are? you know like the ones you occasionally get for driver discs on pc electronics and gamecube discs?
...I mean, they're not minidiscs, but they're a good close second.
...okay third, really, if you count UMDs, but UMDs are just Minidiscs that are trying too hard, let's be honest.

@Nine I guess optical media's kinda dying out now, yeah
blu-rays are expensive and flash memory is cheap
m-discs are good for archival stuff but mask rom is probably better (more expensive though unless on a large scale, can't write it at home)
physical copies of music albums still come on cds so far, though, I think, so maybe they'll stick around, or shift to dvd-audio or bd-audio (which is ridiculous overkill but fancy)
