so uh
i just installed windows on my upgraded PC build, and I was expecting my capture card to work, but NOPE. as it turns out, AverMedia actually ENDED SUPPORT for the capture card I have so it does not work properly on versions of windows higher than 1909. They will not be updating the drivers to fix it
great, i now have a useless capture card.
@Violet do be aware that the hd60s can only capture hdmi. their slightly older hd60 can be found on ebay, and it can do hdmi as well as component, composite, and s-video

@Felthry ergh that's a shame. I only have HDMI devices anyway but this is gonna be a huge drawback if I plan on doing retro console streaming in future
@Violet Completely understandable!

@Felthry I think i'll just stick to the HD60, i'd rather get a newer device than an older one just to be sure it lasts. If i ever need analogue video in future i'll probably hack up a solution
