Racism, ACAB, white "allies"
If you're white or white passing, claiming to be an ally and complaining that you're being yelled at by POC, let me explain it this way; Yes, we get it. We have felt it long before you came into the picture. We grew our entire lives up under the boot of cops and hating them.
The problem isn't that you're swinging at cops.
The problem is that we know how you handle activism, and that you're treating your outrage as if you're suddenly a better person for it. That you're fundamentally misunderstanding that how you treat POC day to day with condescension and casual ableism is what contributed to the environment in which people normalize racism against POC. That you only get into activism for POC because a white person made it look and sound cool to you. It's that you don't understand that if you're spending time talking about it at length, you're pissing away the opportunity to get out there to protest while the iron is hot, or doing anything to materially improve the lives and status of POC when the dust settles.
Words aren't enough anymore to improve our lives, your anger alone isn't enough, what we need is direct action and a fundamental change in how white people see POC. Because your allyship right now, sounds a lot like white saviour complex, and we see it taunting us, telling us that we will never be seen as equal.
