People mourning Jim Holloway, or talking about his art in blogs, always mention the humor he worked into his artwork. TBH I liked his art more when he played things more straight; he really had a knack for portraying stuff you'd remember for decades if it happened in *your* game.

Here's some of his art I really liked. When you're an emotionally fragile teenager trapped in Georgia, pot-bellied halflings and comically battered orcs don't resonate; epic adventure does. The closest to slapstick here are the guy dangling by his flail and the expressions on the cleric's opponents.
