money, food, religion, mom
my mom asked for my address to give me? a mother's day present? but I was gonna do laundry anyway so I said I'd just pick it up.
it was
a horrible saccharine letter with all 4 of my dead/nick/ chosen names on it (it's progress?? she doesn't use my chosen name often) and a check (immediately redistributed to local mutual aid and food banks) and 2 bars of chocolate that were shaped like hands in prayer and packaged with a poem/ prayer verse on them, yet obviously from the dollar store. yes, my 2 favorite things, cheap chocolate and performative religiosity, thanks mom.
she's a fucking trip y'all

@glitterwitch Kerithe: What kinda getting off? Who do they tend to Empathize with in the stories?
Or is it an atrocity tourism kinda thing? I feel you big time on "I love them But what the actual Fuck?!" and it's important to know where personal pathos begins, why it's so much fun, and how to replace it with the healthy alternative.
Because usually it's a desire that can be met in a Healthy way, but that path has been blocked by trauma.
