re: uspol, pragmatic, way more serious question, but not the most negative?
@Kyresti You start at the local/municipal level in the Democratic party. And you push that sucker LEFFFFFFT.
Then you work to get ranked choice voting implemented. City or county level first, then push for state-wide. Once it's state-wide in enough places, we can push for RCV at a national level. Then once that exists, the party can safely splinter off.
re: uspol opinion
@Leucrotta Yeah, hold your nose and bitch about him all the way to the polls. :D
pol, music video
Anyways, if you're feeling defeated after tonight, and like it doesn't matter if you vote or not, remember, that makes it easier for those who oppose you to win.
re: uspol opinion
@Leucrotta Sure, I'll say it. Biden sucks, but Trump is far worse. And while you may not suffer as much regardless of who gets the nomination, there are others that will continue to suffer under Trump.
Secondly, there's nothing stopping Sen. Warren from stopping her campaign and throwing her weight behind Bernie to provide a united progressive front as Biden, Buttigeg, and Klobuchar have chosen to provide a united conservative front. The one thing I'll say for Biden is, if they can put aside their differences to co-operate to meet a goal, they've proven they can at least get more done than the progressive side can.
As for what I've done? Well, I'm a delegate for my ward as well as a vice chair for my precinct. I'm pushing to add a translation committee so that we can better include our immigrant population by having our rules, resolutions, and signage posted in multiple languages at our convention. I've got six resolutions I've sponsored, covering topics of gerrymandering, the DCCC's blacklist policy, decriminalizing sex work, and implementing Ranked Choice Voting at not just our city level, but for our state as well. And while I would've preferred Warren got the nom, I can see the writing on the wall and voted for Sanders today to provide a united front for the progressive side.
So, yeah, have your sad, and have your mad. And then don't just vote Blue in November, but continue to work in the blue machine for progressive values for the next three years as well until we can implement RCV on a federal level and are no longer limited to a simple RvB position.
And if you need help working through the system or writing resolutions, I'll be glad to offer you a hand.

re: conduct
@SoniEx2 Yesterday, you were threatening the whole fediverse with scraping bots and trying to get around repost rules. No one baited you in to that. You don't get to blame others for tricking you into saying stuff that is against the rules. Take accountability for your own actions.
Just treat folks like you would want to be treated. When someone else says something you find offensive, picture how you would want to be reached out to if you said something offensive, and reach out to them like that. If they escalate, de-escalate.
re: conduct
@SoniEx2 Reach out to them and explain why their conduct is hurtful.
