Well, I was, but there is more to do, and I'm taking a break to cool off and hydrate.

I'll be making sure to take a bottle of ice water or something out with me to make sure I keep hydrated, too.

re: skyrim vent, slavery

And this isn't the only quest where this kind of thing happens. In the Dawnguard DLC, the quest to recruit/rescue Florentius Baenius has you going into some nordic ruins where a group of Vigilants of Stendarr have been enslaved by a mage named Minorne through mind control magic.

Like with Peryite's quest, I used stealth to traverse the entire dungeon without killing a single Vigilant, because again they were innocent victims. But like before, as soon as I killed Minorne, all of the mentally enslaved Vigilants are killed instantly.

Thanks Bethesda. Really great of you to punch me in the gut for being merciful and compassionate.

skyrim vent, disease

One quest that really bothered me in Skyrim was Peryite's quest, where you're supposed to go in and kill this priest, who is being followed by bretons from a village which got infected by a plague Peryite sent.

Seeing the followers as innocent victims being exploited, I snuck my way through the entire dungeon without killing a single one, only killing the rogue priest Orchendor.

And for all my efforts to spare these people, what happens? They all instantly die as soon as Orchendor is killed.

Its cloudy and humid out this morning, with thunderstorms on the way for this afternoon. Won't let this get in the way of coffee time, though!
