@Leucrotta it's not that he's *dumb*, he's just obviously deeply inexperienced, and you can already see how his cockiness is going to get in the way of *learning* stuff, so he ends up being really good at some things and *spectacularly* not very good at others...

@Leucrotta yes! his defining attribute trait is "cocky," not "smooth" or even "particularly capable," and though he's apparently gifted at flying, that doesn't help with EVERYTHING ELSE, where he just kinda flails along and survives more by luck than wits or skill. XD

INXS "The Stairs" is another one that always makes me cry. it's exactly in my key/pitch, so I always try to sing along, but I'm often unable to finish it because my throat closes up before the song's done...

there's somebody outside who's whistling at the birds... they've got at least one of the local birds calling back. good spoofing job, and very determined! XD

@Azure we're on the third floor and our cats are indoors-only, so I have to keep the window closed most of the time or Nar will probably (given the interest he's shown in it so far) have an Unscheduled Adventure. we could likely get the screen fixed, but I think I'm going to give the maintenance people some more time to settle down first... given their current track record I don't trust them not to install it upside-down or something. :|

disadvantage of leaving window open without a screen: occasional wasp/hornet/yellowjacket visits.
advantage of same: said stingy bugs can *visit* and then *leave* instead of being stuck inside with me.
