An identifiable problem with Apple earphones now being able to automatically switch devices: Going from my iPhone at 30% volume to my iPad at 100% volume approximately destroys my eardrums.

I decided to waste this evening badly tracing memes in the same inappropriate brush and giving them bad captions.

To its credit, watchOS 7 seems way, way faster on my Series 4. I’m switching in and out of different apps in like, a tenth of a second.

As for my two shortcuts:

Naptime turns off the lights, sets a one hour timer, turns on DND, and starts quietly playing a podcast with a 20 minute cut-off.

This Week integrates with my timekeeping app and does some funky math to tell me when I've done enough hours for the day.

All of my widgets are fat stacks by the way.

Top left for system stuff. Top right for distraction stuff. Large middle for productivity stuff.

My iPad has distractions and productivity reversed, given I mostly use it as a consumption device.

I’ve been using the betas for a few months now, so my iOS 14 Home Screen ain’t new, but here it is.

The most baffling design decision in watchOS 7 is the removal of Force Touch. It might have something to do with the Series 6/SE not having the hardware for it but damn, it's an incredibly useful interaction to have available when dealing with such a small UI.
