input[type=date] is finally landing in macOS Safari. 👀️

The placeholder copy defaults to the current date, which seems a bit of a UX snafu; user might assume the input has a value.

Something like a year ago (might've been longer, time has no meaning) I decided to just stop using jQuery for new projects and holy heck I am so much better at JavaScript now as a result.
