@noiob I'm pretty sure you can do some fun shortcuts with the Assistant on Android, but I don't think it's as powerful as what you can do on iOS
The closest is PROBABLY Tasker but that is sadly nowhere near as intuitive or easy to use
@evie can you make custom stuff in Assistant itself? I've done some very simple stuff with ifttt
and yeah I've tried Tasker and ugh, it's like programming but graphically and on a touchscreen
@noiob I don't think it can go as deep in apps like Shortcuts can
BUT!
There is something that apparently can do things similar to iOS where you can like, have it take a picture and open an app and post it or what not......
B I X B Y
@noiob in all seriousness: what "custom" stuff are you thinking about? I can see what I can do
@evie oh wait those are features in Android P aren't they… I'm gonna be stuck on Oreo for the foreseeable future
@noiob Google has the problem of not wanting to have tight control over Android either, either to not piss off other Android phone makers, to still offer choice, or for regulatory reasons
Like, it is WILD that Google hasn't just made a fucking iMessage clone at this point, but it's because of one of those three reasons
