Snowpiercer (film) spoilers, animal hunting
So, my brother told me that at the end of the movie Snowpiercer, the protagonists find they can leave the train safely without freezing instantly, and the first thing they see is a living polar bear.
My brother's gripe? "Great, you're out, but what are you going to eat?"
There's... a fucking live polar bear. There could be more nearby. Where is the polar bear getting _its_ food.
See the fucking forest for the trees, man.

@Jo idk I just heard that some polar expedition failed because of that

@noiob I looked at Wikipedia:
"...the meat is edible, despite some risk of trichinosis;"
And apparently that spreads through undercooked meat, so as long as it's well-cooked, the risk is probably minimised.
Plus it's either that or starvation.

@troubleMoney @Jo dang
re: Snowpiercer (film) spoilers, animal hunting
@Jo I mean they're gonna have some stuff left on the train, and also the movie's a metaphor
re: Snowpiercer (film) spoilers, animal hunting
@troubleMoney @Jo they have guns and ammo, don't they?
re: Snowpiercer (film) spoilers, animal hunting
@noiob @troubleMoney The bear's still probably going to maul the shit out of them by the time it succumbs to its wounds, I bet.

@noiob Even after a good cooking?
