if theres anything ive learned from being on mastodon, it's that people are so, so kind. like, some of the kindest people you've ever met are here, on these strange microcosms of the net
i was bullied as a kid, pretty badly. it deeply damaged me because it was an assault on myself - my way of life. it made me afraid to be me.
it's taken years for me to finally embrace myself again, and it's because of people's kindness and understanding and love that i am who i am now
so, yknow, thanks
that being said id still really really super appreciate anything ppl can spare, like i said i'm running on spare change atm
money beg // hard drive's dying and i'm broke! / boosts welcome
erm... i realise this is very soon after the last one but i'm still pretty skint (didnt get furlough from being ill with covid) and my boot hard drive is failing. i'm considering getting a cheapy ssd to replace it but i'd deplete what i have left even on the low-end of things
i'm looking for around £25 for the drive and fitting accessories but i could always use more, i really am coasting on like, tenners
anything you can spare, whether it be money or a boost, means the world to me. thank you
when i'm feeling sad about things coming to an end i remember the song "Is That All There Is" by Peggy Lee.
once it's all over... that's all there is. you might as well celebrate it as it happened and remember the good times, cuz eventually we just gotta move on
anyone remember cow tools and how unfunny it is out of context, but when you place it into its proper context where people wrote to the comic artist to ask what it even meant and they explained that cows would make very crude tools if they could make tools at all and that was the joke, it's incredibly funny. not on the premise of cows making shitty tools, just the idea that people were super confused and it turned out it was just a bad joke
yeah. i remember cow tools
