i pulled out fl studio really briefly and just made an extremely quick tune that's pretty much 100% this progression in a few different forms layered on top of each other

...which turned out to be a pretty neat experiment!

re: splatoon 3

this graph is getting more and more skewed

this is using a cpu emulator, of course, but its cpu usage really isn't too bad for being actual dwarf fortress in box64 inside a proot

in the most recent "getting absolutely wild things working on my phone" news

turns out dwarf fortress does have a text mode!

huh! i just managed to set up cli email on my phone with basically zero effort

turns out you can just shove TRAMP paths into rmail's config to steal the setup of anything you can SSH to

me @ my brain when trying to remember all the neat ideas i forgot instantly after sitting down to draw them

(every time i open krita and see tyson tan's splash screen) wow! she's so pretty

oh, and if you are curious about the faces i drew in literally 5 seconds in mspaint because i needed something to test with, here they are!

this is the *entire* code to use this

render-text literally is just a coroutine closure that gets resumed every tick, and automatically handles how to render it based on the current time

small victory: i managed to implement a love2d dialogue textbox system in fennel using only coroutines

oh! i'm not sure how many emacs peeps follow me, but i finally updated Archemacs' readme so that it would be easier to setup for others~

i tend to try and stick pretty close to the defaults, so the end result is really light, and i use tangling to trim support for things you don't have installed making it even lighter!

the end goal is basically having a really light emacs that looks good (i use doom's dracula style), but also has a lot of modern niceties

details (long)

oh! if you thought this was an exaggeration, i also have 3 monitors, so the problem is actually worse than you might think!

my current desktops are:

1: lisp things! currently with fennel and scheme shenanigans, possibly seeing how to interop fennel with ruby, and seeing what problems would arise if i removed the global namespace mangler in fennel
2: researching/maybe eventually fixing kiwix-android, the thing that lets you download wikipedia, since it can't open its packaged local files. also kotlin
3: japanese practice, and rom digging
4: my work-work
5: my vm that i host docker things from and test linux contributions. also long-running tunnels and monitors
6: plan 9 research and attempting to figure out how to get various things working on my dedicated plan 9 pi and researching kernel things (kinda empty rn though)

i'm ignoring a lot of other things i have on each desktop, and the meaning of these desktop changes as i start drawing or composing music, or doing more messing around with various projects that interest me

there is also a WSL component underneath all of this that isn't immediately apparent
