i wonder if you could put an ibm 5150 motherboard into a modern gaming pc case

@typhlosion modern ATX is a direct decendant of IBM PC-AT, so I think the screw holes should line up? dunno if the peripherals would though, but nothing a dremel couldn't fix

@noiob @typhlosion The AT deviated quite a bit from the 5150 and 5160. To fit either one, you'd have to modify the mobo screw holes to hold the mobo, and you'd have to remove and design in a whole new expansion backplane because the expansion slots are slightly wider as well. It can be done, but it can't be done with a modern stock case, gaming or otherwise.
