dark souls question

Is it worth it to save all those souls of a X and large souls of a X, or should I use them immediately to level up?

dark souls question 2

another question: how the fuck do I get past these things throwing spears at me in anor londo, I can't even see where the spears aare coming from and they just keep knocking me off of the buildings

re: dark souls question 2

if someone can help with this it'd be really nice because I feel really stuck and unable to progress, and I can't level up to improve things because it's not the damage of the spears that kills me, it's falling, they push me off even with a shield up

re: dark souls question 2

@Felthry if I remember correctly, the spear throwers are up on a tall building beside where you are...

re: dark souls question 2

@lizardsquid yeah @queerzel@snouts.online has been helping with that, though I don't know if I'm even able to get up to them yet--thanks for the tip though!

I wonder if poison arrows would be a good idea, I could go back and buy some of those

re: dark souls question 2

@Felthry this section is the furthest I've ever gotten up to before I decided to play something else, so good luck!

(I didn't give up because of the spears, I just wanted a change of pace and played a different game instead)

re: dark souls question 2

@Felthry checking the wiki, it looks like the boss souls and the Soul of a Giant can be worth saving, and the rest of them are just there to convert into souls and help you level

re: dark souls question 2

@packbat I'm more wondering if it's worth that or if I should save them for buying things

re: dark souls question 2

@Felthry oh!

yeah, idek

I mean, I think they're basically the same as other souls, just not going away when you die? but I don't play the game, so I don't have a feel for whether it's more valuable to have a reserve for buying items or to be higher level
