Uff. This time a hard drive transplant with my laptop isnt as easy. Somehow just flashing the dd disk image onto the new hard drive results in behavior that was different to the previous hard drive and the windows tool for image backup keeps failing without a consistent reason.

I think its better to just do an old-fashioned reinstall then..

just finished downloading all (?) the tweets of a dead mutual's twitter account just in case twitter goes ahead and deletes inactive accounts.
I should probably work on generalising the script a bit more. might be useful.

@aurelia@chaos.social I feel like he really couldn't have used a better timing either to drive it forward. Warm people up to the idea of using mastodon in the first few weeks, getting them familiar with most of it, and then following up with constantly giving reasons to switch in the following weeks.
