as part of my effort to list out PS2 games worth playing, I have researched the God of War (Greek mythology) series and it does some really really ~*yikes*~ things w.r.t. female bodies
so it's not a video game I can recommend
This was specifically egged on by this screenshot of the Daggerfall manual from bird site, describing some suggestions for when you’re allowed to save/load.
I only snapped out of it after playing a couple games that seemed perfect for me "on paper" that disappointed in ways I couldn't put a finger on
Now it's more like... I want to see what games try to do and judge them on their own terms

I dunno, the whole “work as a team but your avatar’s power depends a ton on your individual performance and whether the other team picks on you” dynamic seems to just create unhealthy social situations, especially in games like LoL or DotA with lots of downtime.
It’s both a stretch and irrelevant to say the design reflects the company’s culture towards sexist jokes and consent, yet in a short sighted way I feel a little vindication.
