It's weird how it's both true that one person can make a video game and that international megacorps can collaborate in ways to effectively turn huge ultra-games into successful returns on investment.
I don't think about this often but it is wild how much Tencent Games owns. One investment company owns:
* a majority of Riot (League of Legends), Supercell (Clash Royale), Grinding Gear Games (Path of Exile)
* a minority in: ActiBlizzard, Ubisoft, Epic (40%!), Paradox, Frontier Developments (Elite: Dangerous), and a lot of mobile game developers.
bad cops
https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2018/08/game-dev-tackled-arrested-by-police-after-filming-gas-station-arrest/ A game developer in South Carolina tried to film cops arresting shoppers at a gas station. She was tackled by a cop and suffered broken teeth and a skull fracture. 😨
(and horror games in general)
Tomb Raider might be the other example, since the restrictions on the ways you can move lead to spatial puzzle solving in the style of older cinematic platformers.
Does not work so well in Tenchu, Croc, various strafe-less FPSes...

Spread this around to ruin a transphobe's day~.
