@Firstaide That seems to be a struggle a lot of people I met have, though instead of instantly changing their view like you mention, they double down and start judging others. Or at least it feels that way to me. They have An Opinion about a thing, and anyone who doesn't instantly agree with them is Wrong.
It can get weird in fandom when I also like/don't like a thing, but for different reasons.

I'm absolutely loving the long post length on Mastodon compared to birdsite, it really lets me post a complete, nuanced thought.

Which makes the super limited space available for a Profile uncharacteristically confining. And no "pinned toot" like functionality to expand it.

Maybe get around it by putting additional info in a toot, and short-url'ing a link to it in Profile?

I found a stink big in the lunchroom. Didn't really want it as a dinner companion, so I scooped it up on a paper towel (with a big cavity and held loosely) and set it free in the bushes outside. Didn't think to get a picture.

@gravecat Some manufacturers tried to get around it with "shower towers" - a longer pipe with multiple shower heads connected, each one individually obeying the law, but they ruled against that, saying the law applied to the whole unit.
The EPA only regulates the sale of the shower heads though, not their use, so some companies make compliant shower heads with easy instructions on how to remove the regulator.

@gravecat in the US, at least. 1994 EPA law limits shower heads to no more than 2.5 gallons per minute flow. Many manufacturers, to account for variance, went way under this to make sure they weren't going over.
