He's been to a vet and he has medication, but it's still really traumatising to see him have a seizure.
And before anyone jumps on me, he's 30 and we both moved out of a roommate situation where they smoked weed and I found out they had purposely been in my room to blow smoke in his face to see if he'd get high.
And my cockatiel just had a seizure in my hands. This day just keeps getting better and better.

what makes it worse? People who DO get tested don't take their antibiotics properly and end up with a resistant strain, and sometimes they don't even realise it.

Fun fact: People who have penises don't know they're carrying chlamydia 9 times out of ten because symptoms are rare for people who have penises.
It's not uncommon for cis dudes to face sterility issues and have NO IDEA why, because they've had asymptomatic chlamydia for so long it rendered them sterile.
Unfortunately, it's not the case for folks with vaginas, and it's much more dangerous for them. PID is a common result and it's not pretty.
