I registered a chitter.xyz account under my name in case I want to follow people that aren't in awoo.space's whitelist. But I don't see that happening since most people are on mastodon.social?

I saw someone dismiss Mastodon almost completely because "toot" is sometimes used as a synonym for fart, so at this point I'm not giving much credence to the anti-Mastodon arguments on Twitter.

I seriously don't get how some people think Mastodon is too inaccessible to be a proper Twitter replacement. Like people my age were able to navigate IRC chats and LiveJournal when they were younger, but Mastodon technically being an open-source web of social media sites stops them in their tracks??
