Twin Peaks The Return Spoilers
Upon thinking on it some more, The Return really feels like a response to modern revival culture. David Lynch took every character you loved from the original series, and took away as much narrative agency that he reasonably could from them, going so far as to give the "climactic battle" to a brand new character with 3-4 total scenes. It feels like a deliberate mirror to what many revivals unintentionally become: A directionless cameo-fest.
(Currently it's free up to level 35, but they'll be expanding that to all level 60 content)
Final Fantasy XIV and it's first (and arguably best) expansion will become free in a few weeks
I am putting together a Fighting Game discord server! It's a non-specific game server with role callouts for finding matches, focused on community support and being newcomer friendly!
Today was a good day. Definitely reccomend folks look for a local org dedicated to direct action and asking how you can help.
