I'm so fucking happy Virtua Fighter is back!

Like... I'm kind of shocked this release is going as well as it is so far, considering the lack of communication regarding netplay. Was seriously thinking this game was only going to succeed because of the PS+ promotion on launch, but now I think it can have some serious legs, and might be the catalyst for a VF6

There are anecdotes of folks playing from the US East Coast to the US West Coast with no problems! While we know nothing about how this new title handles their netcode, it's looking like it's better than a lot of non-rollback titles!

Virtua Fighter is available right now on JPN PSN! And I got a few matches in: Wait times aren't bad, haven't noticed any issues in-match.

Minor gripe: Ranked displays 'connection' in the vague bar format that SFV and T7 uses (instead of just giving you the ping), so I don't know how far away any of my matches have been.

Ranked has the SFV feature of offering a Bo3 match that you can opt-out of. And cool 'E-sports' feature of having random online matches play while you idle in the main menu.

Can't find any option to view replays, which would suck if missing entirely.

It's interesting (and a bit depressing) to see that a game people ask if is "dead", SC2, still has more than 10 times the playercount (afaict) than the most popular fighting game on Steam.

When you point to the dictionary as an attempt to 'prove' that kink is inherently sexual, you are not having a conversation with the people you're arguing with, because you are throwing out their own *explicitly stated* boundaries for the word's usage and definition to assert your own perspective, effectively strawmanning their arguments by mad-libbing what they are saying, substituting their meaning for your own.

Words are made up, context is more important than dictionary definitions.

Combos, like sheet music, tell you what to do and in what order, but unlike musical notation, they do not tell you *when* to do the things.

Give combo notation time signatures, tempo, and duration information (and maybe devs take inspiration and design combos in a similar fashion)
