...it has been almost FIFTEEN YEARS since Winamp 5 first came out.

@LANthus i think they mean 'we're pretty much done with winamp 5, it's been ages, time to move on to the next codebase'

which still isn't great but it's not as bad as it could be?

not sure if Winamp 6 (allegedly coming next year) will have a desktop version, though. if not then that's just a big disappointment
