The thing is, mastodon.social is loading slowly cos y'all are stressing the servers out.

Other instances aren't having this problem, and the easiest solution to the problem is to move to a different instance.

the general trend of social media, even masto, is to reduce friction, make participating easy

forum-world, meanwhile, had very high friction to move outside of your community, it was clear you were in a new space
