I think that pushback against literary analysis is an expression of contempt for art in general. "It's not that deep" is a way of saying art is not worth understanding, which is another way of saying that it is not worth spending any time on. People who say this very often do spend time engaging with art, but they internalise an ideology which is opposed to art functioning as anything other than a commodity

cdc has stated that covid-19 is now endemic in the state of washington. that means it's spreading through the community, no longer just from cases coming here from abroad.
if you're in the area, make sure you are washing your hands frequently, staying out of places where there are lots of people if you can, working from home if you can, and if you have symptoms of a fever and coughing - call the hotline, get tested, and stay home!
if you *do* have symptoms and your doctor says you don't qualify, make sure they know the cdc updated their guidance and is no longer restricting tests!
Young people don't vote. That's just all it is. Millennials are too burned out by literally everything to vote.

There's four universal rules that can prevent the vast majority of unintentional gun injuries and deaths. They're not complicated. The exact phrasing varies a bit but the message is always the same.
