i'm super disappointed to find that there's about 7 frames of input lag on hollow knight for switch

so it's kind of funny that it wasn't the tech bubble bursting, but instead a prolonged government shutdown that will inevitably start the next contraction or recession

some absolute bullshit in the uefi firmware of the Alienware alpha makes it hide and disable boot entries other than windows and steamos I guess, so overriding the bootmgr field in bcdedit to point to refind's efi image lets me boot refind through the windows boot manager to actually choose what I want to boot 😒

I suppose removing the -steamos launch flag from steamos-session works well enough so long as you know to hit "Exit Steam" and not "Exit Big Picture"

i really wish that steam os big picture allowed you to just log out of the x session and go back to the DM's login screen. but no, you're not allowed to have nice things.

also it's really odd and kind of cool how you can just... do most of the game in a really flexible order? every guide I've looked at has a different area order
