@flowless2 what's fucked is that a lot of engineers totally do have a hard time finding and holding on to work, because they don't exhibit the mindless enthusiasm that uncritical collaborators preach as the cornerstone of tech. criticism, being of color, being queer, or otherwise having even the potential of legitimate grievances with kyriarchic profiteering is often enough to be fired. in particular NPM recently fired **all** of its Black employees, now of all times. src: https://twitter.com/nomadtechie/status/1277371525700694016
Firefox 78 is out and here’s the word
+ new ESR release
+ CSS :is() and :where() are now supported by default. The former lets you match multiple things at once, and the latter lets you do that without increasing precedence
+ all new RegExp features through ES2018 are supported, including lookbehinds, property escapes, and named capture groups
+ in DOM, ParentNode.replaceChildren() can be used to replace all the chilluns of an element
+ goodbye TLS 1.0/1.1

Why do they have to do this? Well, the archive format requires you to decompress every file in the archive to get only one of them...
#PSO2 has something like 90,000 files in its data directory, and roughly a third of them are just the large item and enemy icons used in the UI.
