What you find "funny" still reflects who you are as a person

Making fun of trans people or autistic people, or boosting someone who makes those jokes, reflects on the kind of shitty person you are.

So grow up. You can make silly jokes that aren't the most tasteful in the world. But when you make autistic people the punchlike of your joke, bye bye

As the fediverse grows, it's inevitable that online psy-ops will follow. Watch out for accounts equating countries and religions/races/ethnicities. Report abuse when you see it.

I want to be clear, I'm not having a go at Corbyn, although obviously the Labour party needs to sort itself out.

I've seen a fair number of 'pro-Palestine' accounts on Facebook that I'm fairly certain are fake. They're using a good cause to promote ethnic/racial hatred.

The Kotch brothers, Russian Oligarchs, Friends of Putin and Cambridge Analytica are all being talked about as if they're separate groups. But, aside from nationality, there's not really much of a difference between the far-right super wealthy trying to overturn democratic systems to their own benefit. They all support the same politicians and the same policies. Global capital is not nationalistic and supports nothing but itself.

Meanwhile, anti-Semitism appears to be majorly on the rise - mostly on the right in the US, but on both the right AND on the manarchist pseudo-left in the UK.

Obviously, this is terrible praxis for would-be leftists, but also, it's extremely helpful to oligarchs. By turning the phrase 'global capital' into a racist dog whistle, actual oligarchs are able to re-direct populist rage to scapegoat, keeping themselves safe.

There is a LOT of disinformation about. Don't trust anyone pedalling anti-Semitism. AT BEST, they're just arseholes. At worst, they're actively working to destroy the left.

This has become so prevalent lately that we need to be aware of whether or not we've accidentally become indoctrinated. (For people (rightly) interested in Palestine, this is especially important.)
