Fun fact: even when you can't afford to pay your student loans and go on repayment assistance, you're generating interest on the total loan. In effect, the loan becomes only more difficult to pay as time goes on. Between rent + student loan payments, 75% of my income is spoken for. 85% if I include my bus pass.
An interest rate on a national student loan is sickening and wrong.

@Eriadam I studied in Canada, which still isn't the worst but it's kind of really awful.
Suddenly being really, really good at my studies doesn't feel as satisfying. I'm extremely lucky I have a beginner-tier good job, or I would be in an extremely unflattering position rn.
