I completed the whole Resident Evil PS1 trilogy in 2018!

Some people would point to these three games as being "archaic", but I think their awkward clunk, fixed camera angles, and constricting inventory management work together to create a unique tension. Plus they've got a good mix of dread, jumpscares, and clever interruptions to keep you scared.

I do feel weird about it--trying to figure out what kind of person I'd recommend these to, and where they should start. RE1 on the playstation is pretty weird to play unless you temper your expectations.

Though, uh, apparently I was playing the only version of RE1 without a lock-on feature. That would've been nice. :[
