I've changed my opinion on Hawaiian pizza from "it is wrong and an affront to God" to "it is incomplete and can be salvaged." What changed my mind? Assemble a pizza as follows: pineapple, a meat (SPAM actually works the best here, but ham is acceptable if that's not available), and, wait for it.... Jalapenos. The sweetness of the pineapple needs to be cut with something. What's needed to complete the pizza is a spicy kick. This balances the pizza's flavors and makes it quite tasty.
food hot take:
@Rybark really anything sweet + peppers is perfect in this context. I've even done a Georgia variant before with peaches as the sweet element instead of pineapple and it works shockingly well
