menstruation mention, american healthcare, pink tax,

Coworker broke my glasses so I just spent fifteen minutes looking up FSA shit to see if they're covered.

Fucking Lasik is covered, but not menstrual hygiene products. I expected as much, but it still appalls me.

They're not optional. People can get infections from lack of proper menstrual care/products. They ARE medically necessary and should be covered.

"The cost for the treatment of erectile dysfunction is an eligible medical expense. This includes but not limited to prescribed medications: Viagra, Cialis, Levitra."

So boners are medically necessary, but products designed for sanitary hygiene and infection prevention for folks who menstruate aren't????

GODS I hate America
