@Silviu hmmmmm. a thought from the wildlife rescue volunteering: are there--species-specific food... platforms? like, when they're feeding flickers they use vertical perches with holes in them, and artificial "crops" for baby seed-eaters. I have no idea what would work for your birb, though.
