I do like that overall the series is about Georgir asserting herself. We start with her not knowing how to care for herself or work and several books later she is actually self sufficent (mostly)
Also Queenie the Maid has good comedic energy when used right in the book.
Though honestly Georgie should recognize Queenie's loyalty is worth a great deal no matter how often she accudentally lights things on fire or destroys things by accident
Also yeah its fun that the series has vampires, ghosts, the lochness monster, and witches as real things that impact the plot but arent central. Georgie grew up with ghosts and is comfortable with them
At the same time... Darcy O'mara the love interest is very flat to me. Georgie is also super judgey and that gets kind of grating to have her be the moral center. Again with Queenie... girl she saved your life three times and helped you kill a vampire. Stop calling her hopeless and a bad maid?!
The royalist politics do annoy me because Georgie constantly sees what utter buffoons qnd hypocrisy laden twerps the aristocracy is but she keeps leaning back to the sentimentality of "theyll do the right thing"

Girl in Book 3 you found out there was a massive conspiracy (that succeeded) to dethrone the rightful king and you just accepted it
