Civil war projections, morbid positivity

A lot of people raised a good point that the civil war prospects that a lot of people keep bringing up are simply extreme projections and reactions onto others that one would not resort to themselves, and a gross exaggeration by the mind to assume that the worst dredges of society that you see posted all around viral social media are far more common than they actually are, a narrative that social media and news media both want you to consume.

It's just like the discourse with Twitter, people will talk the talk but think others are going to walk the walk first. It's like a game of poker but both sides are bluffing and neither side is calling it. Projecting that others are going to react harshly is just projection onto others, and no matter how you slice it you both lose, the ones pulling the strings win. But at least it didn't cost you your life.

@iBolt07 I dont disagree with you however I think it is important to remember talk of civil war is a constant chatter. [Content warning] mcveigh thought the attack on Oklahoma would spark one[end content warning]

To my thinking a majority of people dont see it as in their best interest. Not that they are passive but that they get a lot out of the current stable system. War is dangerous and disruptive. What would be the benefit?
