I sometimes see these articles about how reusable shopping bags aren’t as environmental as you think and they’re like “YoU’d NeEd tO UsE yOur bAGs fOr sEvEn yEArS”

and I’m like … I have cloth shopping bags in my trunk I’ve had and used for two decades now? What are people doing with their bags? 🤷‍♂️

@cooner also having not read the article.... like even if I accept that time line I would still say that using reusable bags is better then the plastic bags in general just in a reduction sense. Not everything has to be a perfect replacement sometimes good enough patch jobs are fine imo.

@cooner then again my view is no one can do everything perfectly and taking workable mitigation steps is a fair practice
