I wonder how many non professional coders realize that a large part of the professional job is simply reading code and asking questions and seeking permission.
Like that's just what I spent the last hour doing. Reading how other people did what I'm doing, coming up with a way to do it, and then asking my manager if that's the way to do it.
But this is why so many devs have personal projects despite coding all day. It feels good to just be able to skip all that and just write and check in code.
