i hate how ebooks typically don't distinguish recto and verso pages it bothers me so much. also how they don't have consistent pagination or typesetting at all.

epubs are a lazy solution to accessibility imo and they have their uses but it would be way better if those with the means just hired more typesetters and released PDFs in multiple editions (ie standard, large-type, comic sans, whatever). epub as a format is really bad for comprehension for spacial thinkers who remember things by their position on a page.

@kibi epubs and other ebook formats have some really nice formatting and topography features that publishers just never use. so little care is put into a lot of ebook conversions
