When the DJ just now noted the usual line they occasional give about being a volunteer-driven station, and that donations "help pay our rent, utilities, and screaming costs" - well, that's a mood.

@porsupah yeah KEXP is my local public radio station and it's generally what I listen to when I drive these days.
@fluffy It's a weird age for broadcast radio - NPR and college stations are almost the only ones worth listening to. That said, they can be *seriously* good. ^_^
@fluffy Very similar stations! (This was CHIRP) I should try KEXP again - a few months back, they always began every stream with a sponsorship spot, which really doesn't mesh with my channel hopping.
Still love all their tiny concerts, though - the fun of hearing folk live, but still with most of the benefits of a studio environment. Very cool. ^_^
