time to check in with PNW friends--how're we all doing? I'm okay, it just got nasty today but it's survivable, especially with shower breaks.
today's bad, tomorrow will be worse, and there may be power outages. now's the time to make sure your mobile devices are charged and can stay in touch with others, that you have cool water stored up, and that you know where cooling centers are if you need them.

@troodon yesterday was bad, today is awful. I topped off my makeshift AC (cooler full of ice with a fan blowing across it) and it melted in an hour and my room was still 90°
@troodon also my cats are smarter than me when it comes to finding cooler spots. My bedroom is a few degrees cooler than my living room. Really I should be lying in bed and playing Switch which also uses less power (and therefore generates less heat) than doing it in my living room on my big expensive home theater system. Plus I’d have cats.
@troodon also when I went to buy ice I purposefully took my time just so I could spend more time in my air conditioned car.
