dreamed I was a teenager whose family moved to a new town, into a huge rambly creaky semi-run-down Victorian house, which my teen self was *convinced* was haunted and thought was *totally cool*. the first day after moving in, I stood in the house and said "Okay, ghosts, this is my cat. If you harm my cat I will EXORCISE THE FUCK OUT OF YOU WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE. Otherwise, I'm cool with whatever haunting you want to do. Got it?"

earlier, the teenager met several people at the local tourist trap/mini-mall, including several older folks from the big weird Bingo tournament. Eddie Murphy made a brief appearance there, as an older person who may or may not have been Satan, and now I really want to see that. one of the older folks had a coin that looked like a giant penny, the size of a rotary phone dial and a couple of nail holes as if it had been hung up on a wall.

I tried to ask the people who had the coin what it was for, but they gave me the "WE DO NOT SPEAK OF THOSE EVENTS" routine. I was disappoint, and tried to point out that most of the "occult symbols" were actually cribbed from the Masons or something, but they ran me out of the Bingo parlor.

in another part of the dream I was sleeping in a car for some reason and it snowed! and stuck!! and I was SO EXCITE but it was only a dream.

now I kinda want to write this up as a YA novel...
