wildlife rehab report
since there were only the three birds in the ward, I went on to clean the ward, do a bunch of dishes, clean up some lamps that are going back to the org we borrowed them from, clean the footbaths, and then get started on cleaning out the deer pen. that's going to be a *huge* job which we'll probably be working on for the next month. XD
the bald eagle is doing well, his broken bone is healing, yay! and there was an opossum brought in last week that's already been released!
wildlife rehab report
we also have a new saw-whet owl, which is staff only as it's not in great shape and yet EXTREMELY FIGHTY. saw-whet owls are tiny (about the size of an American robin) and the rehabber said they basically look like Beanie Baby owls with HUGE BIG EYES and it's pretty much true: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_saw-whet_owl
and that's about it for this week's report! :)
