I see people being creeped out by this "human Uber" thing, but it's a surprisingly humanist concept: it allows someone who wouldn't otherwise be physically able to attend an event to be present, and it gives someone else a job.
It has substantial benefits compared to a standard telepresence robot, too - it's not as expensive, the person can open doors and is less likely to be shoved over or otherwise interfered with, and can recover if they are.
