Fun fact:
Pigeons aren't covered under the migratory bird act. Which means you can, in theory, just go out and CATCH a pigeon if you want one for a pet.
I mean, good luck with the taming process, but it's amazing anyway.
...someone stop me from catching and adopting all the poor injured pigeons in downtown Seattle.

@hummingrain um parasites. and diseases. like not even kidding, it's a Thing you don't want to mess with. not as bad as raccoons, but still.
otoh if you read up on it and have the equipment to take care of them and do it safely? go for it! XD
@green I always forget about parasites, which I am for some reason much less cool with than diseases.
If I ever get the space I might end up doing the research and such and doing it. XD
