@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town Thick and curly hair can be really hard to work with; traditional hair care methods don't work well on it. The rule of thumb I've heard is to focus on frizz control by embracing (and contributing to) the greasiness, then focus on shaping the curls.

For that camp, coconut oil is a common suggestion for curly hair-- and never use shampoo. Just wash with lemon juice or similar.

A much more dramatic comparison would be a day after shampoo and conditioner versus a day after coconut oil; the former would have the start of an afro while the latter would look more or less the same as they started out.)
